Dr. Tiffany Halsell, PhD, PCC
Dr. Tiffany Y. Halsell is a dedicated student success advocate and higher education professional with over a decade of experience at The Ohio State University. As the Academic Programs Student Services Specialist, she provides holistic support to all students, including first-generation and neurodivergent populations. Her work centers on helping students recognize and leverage their strengths through personalized coaching, engaging workshops, and strategic partnerships across campus.
Tiffany joined the College in 2021 after serving as Assistant Director for Outreach in Graduate and Professional Admissions. She earned her Ph.D. from the College of Education and Human Ecology, where her dissertation examined how campus culture and climate influence Black undergraduate women’s participation in high-impact engagement practices. She also holds a Master of Education in Executive Human Resource Development and a Bachelor of Liberal Arts from Xavier University, along with a credential as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) from the International Coaching Federation.
Tiffany began her career at Ohio State in 2011, serving in a variety of roles across the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, the Graduate School, the College of Arts and Sciences, and the College of Education and Human Ecology. Her broad experience across these units reflects a deep understanding of student needs and institutional dynamics. Before transitioning to higher education, she spent 20 years in the utility industry, bringing a unique blend of corporate insight and academic perspective to her work.
Known for her authenticity, relationship-building, and generous spirit, Tiffany is enthusiastic about empowering students to thrive. Outside of work, she enjoys nurturing her plant collection and spending quality time with family and friends.
