  2. Karcher named new chair of CFAES Department of Horticulture and Crop Science

    COLUMBUS, Ohio—Douglas Karcher, PhD, an alumnus of The Ohio State University College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES), is returning to the college as professor and chair in the Department of Horticulture and Crop Science. His four-year term begins August 1, 2021, pending approval by the university’s Board of Trustees.

    Congratulations to the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences faculty who were granted promotion and/or tenure at the May 19, 2021 meeting of the Ohio State University Board of Trustees and to the assistant professors and professional practice faculty who were reappointed at their current ranks after undergoing review during the 2020-2021 promotion and tenure cycle.
